These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Soffritto (the “Service”), operated by Soffritto (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Soffritto does
Soffritto is a free tool that turns a photo of your fridge or countertop into three recipe ideas, matched to the mood, meal type, effort and dietary preferences you provide. It is designed to help you cook with what you already have and reduce food waste.
2. Recipe ideas, not instructions
Recipes are generated by an AI model and are suggestions only. They are not a substitute for professional culinary, nutritional, or dietary advice. Use your own judgement when cooking — check ingredients for allergens, follow safe food handling practices, and adjust cooking times to your equipment. We do not guarantee that any recipe will be accurate, safe, or to your taste.
3. Your content
You are responsible for the photos and text you submit. You must have the rights to any image you upload, and you must not submit content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes someone else's rights. We process your submissions only to generate recipes and provide the Service — see our Privacy Notice for details.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, access it through automated means beyond reasonable personal use, or use it for any illegal or harmful purpose. We may limit or suspend access where we reasonably believe these Terms are being breached.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, branding, and original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. Recipe suggestions generated from your inputs are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may save and cook them; you may not resell or redistribute the Service's output as a commercial product without our permission.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recipe will meet your needs.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soffritto and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any outcome from following a generated recipe. Where the law does not allow exclusions, our liability is limited to the minimum required.
8. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update or change the Service at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to your local courts.
